Dear Parishioners:
Well, we are in middle of summer, the “dog days” of summer, as they say. But we still have five more weeks before Labor Day.
I thought I would update you on some Capital Improvements around the Parish campus. The school needed a new gas pipe into the school, etc. The whole project costs about $61,000 – and, yes, $61,000!
We will be gutting and renovating the bathrooms in the west wing (closest to the Church) of the school; it will be close to a complete gut; we hope to have the renovations completed by the start of school.
In addition, we are installing a small basketball court for the school; it will be located close to the rectory garage. Little by little, we will be updating/improving the infrastructure in the parish. As you know from your own homes, things wear out after a period of time. It is better to be proactive, than reactive. Being reactive winds up being more expensive than being proactive.
I will be away from July 29th – August 2nd; I have a wedding in Miami. Fr. Doug Arcoleo will be here taking care of the place! For the old-timers here, it will be like “old home” weekend, since Fr. Arcoleo was an Associate Pastor about 20 years ago!
Remember: Together, we can do something beautiful for God.
In Christ,
Fr. Brian
