“Desert Bread” - A Journey Through the Great Arts of Catholicism—Join the Friends of the Seminary Sunday afternoons, Oct 1, 22, and 29 from 2:00 to 4:30pm at the Seminary of the Immaculate Conception in Huntington for a workshop series presented by Professor Annabelle Moseley. Just as the Israelites were nourished in the desert with bread from heaven, we will nourish the soul as well as the body, exploring the rich treasure trove of art, literature and music unique to our Catholic faith. $25 per session/$60 for all three in advance.

Gennesaret Retreat—For those facing serious illness. A retreat specially designed for persons who live with a serious illness is planned for Sep 22, 23 and 24 at Montfort Spirituality Center in Bay Shore. This retreat offers a respite, a quiet time, an oasis, to enable one to continue the journey. The retreat focuses on God’s love, His forgiveness, and His faithfulness.

Ministry to Families with Special Needs—Families who have members with special needs or developmental disabilities often find it difficult to attend weekly Mass together. St. James Parish in Setauket offers a special Mass for these families each month at 1:00pm followed by refreshments and fellowship. This Mass will be offered on the following dates for the remainder of 2017: Oct 14, Nov 11, and Dec 9.
