  • Living with Alzheimer’s and Dementia, first Wednesday of the month beginning Sep 6 through Jun, 1:00 - 2:30pm. Free will offering.
  • Men 2 Men Gathering, second Saturday of the month beginning Sep 9 to Aug 2018. An offering of $20 includes breakfast.
  • A Gathering of Spiritual Women, second Tuesday of the month beginning Oct 10 through Jun 2018. Offering: $20. 
  • Woman’s Book Discussion, Wednesdays from 12:30 - 2:00pm Mar 14 and 21. $15 per session.

Beauty and the Beast—Presented by St. Anthony’s High School Theatre Company, Thu, Mar 22 and Fri, Mar 23 at 7:00pm, and Sat, Mar 24 at 12:00pm and 7:00pm. Tickets $10 at the door. ($5 for children 12 and under at the 12:00 PM show only). St. Anthony’s is located at 275 Wolf Hill Road in South Huntington.

Bereavement Support Group—a free eight-week support group atSt. Mary’s Parish in East Islip for adults who are struggling to cope with the death of a loved one. Registration is required. Meetings begin on Wednesday, May 9th from 7:00 to 9:00 PM and will run on consecutive Wednesdays through June 27th. Refreshments will be served. In order to participate in this group, the death must have occurred prior to Feb 21, 2018.

Help Wanted! St Catherine of Siena Nursing and Rehabilitation Care Center in Smithtown is in need of Eucharistic Ministers. Please consider donating an hour or two a week distributing the Eucharist. Your service will provide spiritual support and comfort to the residents and rehabilitation patients. You will be performing both a spiritual and a corporal work of mercy. Days and times are flexible, training is provided.

Preparing for Marriage? Engaged Encounter is an effective PreCana program designed to provide you with the tools for a successful marriage. Couples are given the opportunity to explore many aspects of their relationship through a series of presentations, writings and dialog. There are no group discussions. Retreat in Assisi and Visit Rome - Fr. Jim McNamara invites you to a special retreat in the footsteps of St. Francis and St. Clare in Assisi Jun 15 – 25, 2018. Fr. McNamara will give two conferences a day for six days in Assisi with Mass each day in the various Churches. There is ample time for prayer and visiting the holy places. The entire city of Assisi becomes the retreat house. Accommodations at the Hotel Posta in Assisi, then spend three days in Rome at Domus Carmelitana, not far from St. Peter’s.

Volunteers Needed—Maria Regina Residence, located at 1725 Brentwood Road in Brentwood, is seeking compassionate men and women who are willing to volunteer their time in varied service areas (usually one morning or afternoon per week) in assisting residents in their wheelchairs, assisting with recreational service or other needs in the building. Maria Regina Residence is a 188-bed Skilled Nursing Facility under the care of the Sisters of St. Joseph.

Volunteers Needed for Handicapped Encounter Christ 34th Annual Retreat— Retreat will take place Thursday evening, Apr 26 to Sunday afternoon, Apr 29 at Camp Alvernia in Centerport. Many roles need to be filled: Companion/team members, kitchen help, set-up/strike camp, and drivers. There is one more remaining planning meeting on Mon, Apr 16 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 29 Clay Pitts Road in Greenlawn in the lower church. Meetings begin at 7:00pm.
