Catholic Daughters

St. Patrick’s is home to the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Queen of the Universe #1702 which was established in July of 1955. Our CDA members participate in religious, charitable, and educational works in keeping with their motto: “Unity and Charity.”

Our CDA court is a particularly vibrant one. Members meet on the third Monday of the month following the 7:30 PM Novena Mass. In addition to activities on the national and state levels, St. Patrick’s Catholic Daughters have their own busy agenda. Several fundraisers are held each year, including a Chinese auction, Country Western Line Dancing, a Religious Articles Sale during Advent, a Bake Sale, and a Mother’s Day Flower Sale. These events make it possible for St. Patrick’s CDA to offer Catholic high school scholarships and support several charitable organizations such as St. Patrick’s Pro-Life, Hope House, Birthrite, North Fork Spanish Apostolate, and our seminarians, as well as 15 national CDA projects. Every January, our Catholic Daughters help mothers in need and their babies through the Catholic Daughter Baby Shower.

For young women in grades 6 to 11 who are interested in serving the needs of our community, St. Patrick’s has a Junior Catholic Daughters chapter. JCDA meets on the third Tuesday of the month.
